Psychological Therapy
During my one-to-one Psychological Therapy sessions, I help clients understand and address the early experiences that shape their emotional distress.
I take a neurobiological approach to healing - integrating brain and body - to help clients make sense of their nervous system responses. When we experience trauma, adversity, or chronic stress, our bodies adapt in ways that can feel overwhelming or confusing. My work involves demystifying and normalising these responses and helping clients to acknowledge that they are simply human.
With a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, I specialize in working with adults who have experienced early childhood relational trauma, helping them navigate the lasting effects of these experiences with evidence-based and integrative approaches. My approach is rooted in both science and intuition, blending cutting-edge neurobiological approaches with a deep respect for the wisdom of the nervous system and the soul. I believe that true healing not only requires the processing of traumatic and painful life experiences, but also fostering safety, connection, and regulation in the body.
I work with all common mental health disorders. However, terms that we use such as depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, ADHD etc, for me, are merely labels for nervous system dysregulation. I see ‘mental health disorder’ through the lens of the nervous system. It is just the body responding exactly as it should given what it’s been exposed to. Trauma informed therapy helps us understand the why. And when we know the why, we can figure out the how....together, through co-regulation and safety.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens in connection. Therapy is about feeling seen, heard, and understood. Healing begins with the simple act of being met with compassion.
